Role of Theta Brainwave in Theta Healing Meditation

In the Greek alphabet, theta is the eighth letter, while in the Greek numeric system, theta is the ninth value representing the sequence of numbers. It is characterized as a line with a point within a circle. But as many people did not know, theta is also a brain signal frequency, ranging from 4 Hz to 7 Hz (cycles per second).

Here’s a quick backgrounder. The brain is divided into two parts: the right hemisphere and left hemisphere.  The right hemisphere is responsible for the ‘right here,’ or your actions, reflexes and your senses, while the left hemisphere is responsible for the past, the future and your memories. In the medical field, to study further the brain, the electroencephalogram is used, a machine in which the theta wave activity is measured.  What is amazing about the human brain is the release of theta waves.  These theta waves are an element to ignite healing ability.

When the theta brainwave takes place, the individual is undergoing a passive meditation.  In this signal frequency, your brain is concentrating to produce the said waves. These specific brain waves or the theta waves emerge when we are in a state of deep calmness or during deep hypnosis.  This also occurs during daydreaming, mentally drowse condition, relaxation or in a state of serenity. Theta technique or consciousness in a meditative state allows you to fully understand your own body. It is said that this process allows you to heal yourself emotionally and physically.

Ms. Vianna Stibal discovered this process called theta healing when she was diagnosed with meningococcal meningitis on her right femur way back in 1995.  She used this experience to gather knowledge about the theta healing method.

Another technique is the distant healing, a form of healing where the sick person is away from the healer/s.  There should be a mutual acceptance that the recipient is willing to be treated, or else the healing energy will not enter his body.  In this kind of procedure, distance does not hinder the healing process.

Theta Healing as Ms. Stibal found out, allows an individual to develop his ability to do self-therapy on all aspects:  physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually using the Creator of All That Is. It is even possible that one will not lose consciousness while lowering his theta wave frequency. This should be practiced to perfect the method of healing meditation.  One can study how to achieve Theta healing by participating in Theta Healing courses which Ms. Stibal offers in various parts of the world.

Reiki and Theta Healing utilize the universal life force for healing. With Reiki, the practitioner places his or her hands over the client and allows the energy to flow where it?s needed. Theta Healing teaches the practitioner to connect to Source and command and witness changes in the body and mind. During Reiki the practitioner is typically in alpha brainwaves. A Theta practitioner slows his or her brainwaves lower than alpha to Theta. Combining both therapies is a wonderful and powerful experience for both practitioner and client.

The Basics of ThetaHealing

At first glance, thetahealing seems to be a complicated way of healing a person. It makes use of the principles of quantum physics and the universe in order to heal someone. But when you really take a look at it, you will see that thetahealing is just another way of holistic healing, meaning treating the whole aspect of a person (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) through the use of education, self-development, and applied knowledge. In fact, it is said to be the most powerful energy healing system existing today.

Just like other energy healing methods, theta healing aims to remove all the obstacles in your life that prevents you from reaching your fullest potential as a person. It works by making use of your natural brainwaves so as to access your subconscious mind, where all the beliefs, feelings, and other information that you are unaware of are seated. You may not know it, but these things may be limiting you.
