Is Theta Healing Effective?

The east has always been associated with mysticism and alternative medicine. However, recent interest in alternative medicine has caused many westerners to slowly open up to it. One popular form of holistic, or alternative, healing is the Theta Healing.

Theta healing, just like other holistic healing techniques, aim to bring harmony between the mind, the body and the soul. It works by resolving any wrong beliefs, hang-ups and undesirable behavior replacing it with positive and more beneficial ones. These unhealthy beliefs and behavior need not be a conscious effort on our part. They could be instilled in our subconscious through our experiences, genetics and past life.

Theta healing is more effective in people who believe in a Higher Being. It can be applied in many areas of one?s life. However, only trained theta healing practitioners are allowed to conduct a theta healing session. It might seem to be quite easy but it could be a draining process.

Although she was already practicing alternative healing on people, it was in 1995 that the seeds that would become the Theta Healing Technique were sown in the mind of Vianna Stibal. It was during that time that she was diagnosed to have a terminal cancer. Unwittingly, by getting in touch with a Higher Being, she was able to command her body to heal. Because of this incident, she had spent all her life in the study of and promotion of Theta Healing Technique.

As much as it is about harmony between the heart, body and mind, theta healing also taps into the brain?s powerful waves. The brain emits five types of waves ? the alpha, beta, theta, gamma and delta. Beta waves are what our brain emits when we are awake and alert. During the times that we are relaxed and daydreaming, we emit Alpha waves. When we are unconscious or have reached the level of super-conscious, we emit delta waves. Of all this waves, it is the theta brain wave that provides the doorway to the subconscious.

Some of the benefits of the theta healing technique are spiritual growth, healing emotional and physical wounds, creativity, well-being, and improvement self-esteem.
